In anticipation of Green All Night (our overnight study space) opening in Winter Quarter, we are excited to announce that Green Library will have significantly extended hours during Fall End-Quarter and Final Exam weeks!
All Stanford ID holders will be able to access the designated late night study space on the first floor of Green East (facing Coupa Café) for the extended hours listed below. All other areas of the Green Library building will be closed.
Extended hours
End-Quarter Week
- Monday–Thursday, Dec. 2–5
- Building: 8 a.m.–12 a.m.
- Late Night Study: 12 a.m.–3 a.m.
- Friday, Dec. 6
- Building: 8 a.m.–9:30 p.m.
- Late Night Study: 9:30 p.m.–12 a.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 7
- Building: 10 a.m.–9:30 p.m.
- Late Night Study: 9:30 p.m.–12 a.m.
- Sunday Dec 8
- Building 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. (open earlier than usual)
- Late night study 12 a.m. to 3 a.m.
Exam Week
- Monday–Thursday, Dec. 9–12
- Building: 8 a.m.–12 a.m.
- Late Night Study: 12 a.m.–3 a.m.
What to expect
- All library patrons will be asked to exit the building at regular closing time. Only patrons with valid Stanford University ID cards may re-enter/enter Green Library and access the late-night study space through the entrance facing Coupa Café. The Bing Wing entrance (facing the Quad) will be closed.
- Staff and library security will be on site during extended hours.
- Quiet conversations are permitted in the study areas.
- Reservable group study rooms will be available.
- Access to Green Library’s Course Reserves collection will be available.
Beverages in sealable containers are permitted. Food is not permitted inside the building.
Don’t forget
- Bring your Stanford ID to enter the late-night study space.
- Use 5-SURE (Stanford’s free late night golf-cart transportation program) for rides between Green Library and your dorm. New this quarter is an app-based ride request option.
