Since the very founding of Stanford University, its library collections have been formed and immeasurably enriched by gifts of many kinds. Today, we rely on a combination of support to supplement and build upon funding given by the university. Much of what we provide to students and researchers is directly the result of gifts shaped by the interests and knowledge of the donor.
